There are obviously several ways to get to Capri. Your travel itinerary, before and after our wedding, will definitely factor into your choices.

The island of Capri is a 30-minute ferry ride from the port of Naples or Sorrento.

Ideally the easiest way to get to Capri from the US or Canada, would be to fly directly into Naples, take a taxi to the port, and take a ferry to Capri.  Considering the lack of flights from the USA to Naples, direct that is, most will likely fly to Rome.  The only airline I am aware of that flies directly from the USA to Naples is Eurofly.  You can look at their website for more information:
If coming from Rome
Private Car Transfer to Naples:
If you choose to hire a driver/private car, it will be about a 2 hour drive from the Fiumicino airport to Naples, and could cost anywhere up to 400 euro.  The benefit of hiring a driver/private car is that you will not have to deal with the train station hustle and bustle.  Additionally, you can arrange for your driver to purchase your ferry tickets for you once you arrive at the port in Naples.  And the drive is actually very beautiful… a great way to see the small parts of Italy.  Most 4 or 5 star hotels on Capri will be able to arrange a private car for you.  Please take advantage of the hotel concierge when booking your room, and ask about private transportation if you are interested.

Train to Naples:
Once you arrive in Rome, you can take a taxi, shuttle or local express train/subway to central Rome’s Termini station.  It’s about a 40 minute ride via taxi or shuttle. The Leonardo Express is the name of the train/subway that'll shuttle you from Rome's main international airport, Fiumicino, to central Rome's Termini station. A Leonardo Express train leaves every half hour in each direction. This option would take you about 30 minutes, will cost about 9.50 euro.  Tickets can be purchased at the main ticket windows, or the automatic ticket machines.  We have booked our train tickets in the past from Rome Termini to Napoli Central on the following website: The train ride will take you about 1.5 hours.

From the Naples train station; take a taxi to the port of Naples  (about 20 minute ride…. fyi, Naples traffic will be one to remember).  You will then buy tickets for the SNAV ferry to Capri.

Alitalia AlItalia has several flights arriving into Rome from most international airports.

Eurofly is the only airline that flies from JFY- NY to Naples Italy.

Train Station in Rome:

This website will give you the ferry schedule and the price of the tickets.  You can purchase the tickets at the port when you arrive in Naples.  SNAV is the ferry we usually take, and find it very easy.
